The ancient masters invested in the amazing architecture of the Carpathian churches a soal and a subtle sense of the connection between “divine” and “earthly”. They left a message for the descendants, symbols of age-old history and identity of the Ukrainian people. Architectural forms, icon painting, decorative carvings and murals are unique example of the art of Ukraine among the national cultures of other peoples of Europe.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin was built in 1808 by local housebuilder Hryhoriy Semoniuk.
This five-storeyed temple represents one of the well-preserved rare Hutsul type churches.
The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit was probably built at the turn of the XV and XVI centuries and is the oldest wooden church in Ukraine.
The church is composed of three parts and was built according to the ancient Galician type.
The Church of the Ascension of the Lord was built in 1824 and is one of the most perfect wooden churches in the whole Hutsul region.

One of the best monuments of ancient Ukrainian art is the wooden church of St. George in Drohobych, which is a masterpiece of pan-European construction.
The church of St. George was built in the XV century and underwent significant reconstructions for several times in the XVII century.
The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit is located on a small hill at the bottom of a high mountain, in the central part of the village, on the right bank of the Telytsia River.
The church has a picturesque view and fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape.
In the central part of the village of Matkiv, on a small hill in 1838, craftsmen Ivan and Vasyl Melnikovich built a wooden temple of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which occupied a worthy place among the most perfect monuments of the Boyky wooden architecture.
Uzhok wooden church is one of the most interesting buildings of the Boyky style, built by craftsmen Pavlo Cherniyiv and Ivan Tsygannyk in 1745.
St. Michael's Church looks simple and unpretentious: the temple has no sharp exterior or fancy details - on the contrary, it is slender and sophisticated.
